Workers at Salt Lake City Public Library are organizing with AFSCME Local 1004!
Salt Lake City Public Library (SLCPL) Workers United seeks to address longstanding issues throughout the library system's nine branches such as safety, exclusion of staff in the decision-making process, lack of transparency, wages that fall below the national average, inaccessible and expensive healthcare and more.
Currently, SLCPL workers are the only group of public employees in the city who are excluded from recognition and access to collective bargaining rights. Click here to add your name to the community letter of support and urge SLCPL Board of Directors and Salt Lake City Council to pass resolutions granting SLCPL workers collective bargaining rights.
